UK Passport Photo Online Size (600 × 750 px+)

For online UK passport applications the digital photo must be at least 600 pixels wide and 750 pixels tall and between 50 KB and 10 MB. This tool crops to the right shape and saves a 900 × 1125 px JPEG well inside those limits.

Official requirements

• At least 600 × 750 px, 50 KB to 10 MB, JPEG.
• Plain cream or light grey background, no shadows, neutral expression, eyes open.
• For printed photos: 35 × 45 mm, head 29–34 mm from chin to crown.

Questions

Does this check that my photo will be accepted?

No. It sets the correct size, shape and file size. You still need to follow the official rules on background, pose and lighting.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Cropping and compression happen in your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server.

The face is cut off. What do I do?

Use a photo with space around the head, or switch "Position" to "Centre". The tool keeps the top of the photo by default, where the head usually is.
