India e-Visa Photo (square JPEG)

The Indian e-Visa form needs a square JPEG photo (between 350 × 350 and 1000 × 1000 px) with a plain white background. This tool crops it square and saves a 600 × 600 px JPEG under 300 KB.

Questions

Does this check that my photo will be accepted?

No. It sets the correct size, shape and file size. You still need to follow the official rules on background, pose and lighting.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Cropping and compression happen in your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server.

The face is cut off. What do I do?

Use a photo with space around the head, or switch "Position" to "Centre". The tool keeps the top of the photo by default, where the head usually is.
