GMDSS Exam Prep ("the app") is a study app for the US FCC commercial radio operator examinations (Elements 1, 7, 7R and 9), published by the developer developer1021 on Google Play (package name com.developer1021.gmdss) and on the Apple App Store. This policy explains how the app handles your information.
We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos or location. Your study progress (answers, review schedule, streak, settings, bookmarks and practice-exam history) is stored only on your device. We do not run our own servers and we never receive this data. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
The free version shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. Google may collect and use device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), approximate location derived from your IP address, diagnostics and ad-interaction data to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy choices. The optional one-time "Pro" upgrade is processed by Google Play or Apple. We do not see or store your payment details; we only receive confirmation that the purchase is valid so Pro can be unlocked.
The app is intended for adults and teenagers studying for professional radio licences and is not directed to children under 13.
We do not sell your data. Data used by Google for advertising is sent over encrypted connections and handled under Google's privacy policy.
